Guest guest
Hi Jerry. I have a dentist question. I recently saw a show on tv where people were getting their teeth whitened with a lasar process. Do you know what that is called and if it is healthy or not? Looked pretty extreme and worked unbelievably well. Thanks Donnahttp://www.excellentthings.net
Guest guest
Thanks Jerry, All teeth whitening? What about Dr. Katz at www.therabreath.com His product, supposidly whitens without threatening the integrity of the tooth. He discourages peroxide based cleansers. If you are not familiar with this, I would be thankful if you could check it out and see what your opinion is. Guest guest
Donna, I'd stay away from his products! His theories on bad breath are essentially limited. We discussed halitosis, bad breath - and how to correct it - in the March-April issue of our newsletter. I feel that many of the ingredients his products are simply unhealthful. Guest guest
Hi Jerry. Can you tell me specifically what it is about his teeth whitening product that is not good. I have no interest in his breath products, but I am interested in whitening my teeth without wrecking them. From his literature, it seems like his product doesn't weaken teeth and is different from any other products on the market. If you disagree, could you tell me exactly why. Thanks. Guest guest
Donna, There are 2 ways to make teeth brighter. The first is to remove the pellicle that stains the surface. To remove it, we can use the Rota-dent or a soft bristled tooth brush with Peelu Powder. This brings up the natural look. The other way is to bleach the body, the enamel, of the teeth. The chemical reacation necessary to whiten the teeth makes the enamel more porous, less able to resist staining in the future. Naturally, he and all the rest make safety claims, but his product isn't 'different' from the others. Guest guest
Well, we need some perspective here. What significance does " 8-20 ppm of flouride, " have? Guest guest
Hum. . . Well, I tried peelu and it was unpleasant to use and my teeth got browner and browner. I have recently been using Miracle ll soap, as I have heard people say it whitened their teeth. Tastes like dish soap, but my teeth are substantially cleaner in about a week. I will keep you all posted.
