Radiation Poisoning is now becoming a fact of life within Iraq.

In NEWS1804, we reported that US and British forces had used so much Depleted Uranium in our fighting in Iraq that we had poisoned the entire land over a period of time. The situation got so bad that the British High Command promised to test every one of their returning soldiers for D.U. poisoning by giving them a urine test ["Gulf troops face tests for cancer", The Guardian Limited, London, April 25, 2003].The only trouble with a test like this is that soldiers may not test positive for uranium in the urine by the time they get back home; however, if they were dangerously exposed to high levels of Depleted Uranium during the war, they will likely begin to suffer and die within a few years of returning. Since awareness levels on this subject is increasing amongst people worldwide, the US must counter. Thus, I noticed with great interest that American media began to report a story that, on face value, seems to explain away the real problem of Iraqis and Americans getting radiation illness. Listen:"BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. military experts will soon visit a looted Iraqi nuclear facility, the U.S. Central Command said Friday, following reports that people living near the site were showing signs of radiation sickness ... a specially trained Army team of 11 experts would assess the quantity and the condition of the nuclear material at the facility ... It gave no specific date for the visit." ["U.S. Army Team to Probe Looted Iraqi Nuclear Site", Reuters, May 16, 2003]This story is likely to be just disinformation, designed to explain away the problems starting to surface with radiation sickness of both Iraqi civilians and US military personnel. We can expect this type of story to continue. In NEWS1804, we added the testimony of a Cutting Edge r who served in Kuwait in 1996 with the Marines; he saw exactly the type of newborn baby abnormalities we reported. Thank God for this personal testimony from a Born Again Christian!(3) US and British authorities are continuing to fight the perception that we may have launched an illegal war against Iraq. You see, we have not found any Weapons of Mass Destruction and are likely now to not find any. "THE sound of chickens coming home to roost fills the air, as the government seeks to counter accusations that the failure thus far to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq negates the legitimacy of the war it has just fought there." ["Forget WMDs - they're not the real reason we went to war", The Scotsman, May 18, 2003]However, the American people seem to not notice, simply because the US media is thoroughly cooperating with the administration in hiding so many facts. In this light, the US media is also largely ignoring the North Korean crisis, even though foreign news is taking great notice of it! Day after day, we post 10-15 articles on North Korea, while US media is hardly mentioning the crisis at all!
