Guest guest
Carol, For some reason my respones are not always posting..can anyone offer an explantion as to why? I'm going to try sending this reply again...as I don't believe it posted the first time. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by " extracts " of various things " ? Yes, this stuff has a variety of nutrients in it (all are naturally occuring within the plant itself). Just like a carrot has certain vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in it...the Limu Moui plant...also known as Angel's hair, Mozuku and Nano have the following in it............ 17 amino acids including glycoproteins--- ----Essential fatty acids, DHA boosts brain function and mood enhancement. ---Fucoidan/Glyconutrients including galactose, mannose, xylose which: Encourage natural Killer (NK) cells to fight disease. NK cells for immune defense. - Stimulate production of B-cells in the immune system. B-cells produce antibodies against the disease organismx, enable the immune defenses into action. - Mobilize white blood cells to engulf and destroy dangerous infections. - The glyconutrients in Limu Moui encourage NK cell and B-cell regeneration, speeding up the body immune attack against invaders. ---Polyphenols - powerful anti-oxidants which- Detoxify the body of heavy metals, free radicals and toxins. - Improve the structure of hair, skin and nails and boost their growth. - Boost gastrointestinal function. - Reduce high blood sugar and cholesterol levels. - Protect cells from malignant replication and damage. - Fight degenerative diseases and aging on a cellular level ( " rusting " ). ----Colloidal minerals including magnesium, calcium, iron, iodine, copper, manganese, boron, zinc. Colloidal mineral properties:- Retain their integrity even when a liquid suspension. - Small particle size is easily absorbed on a cellular level. - Colloidal minerals from plant sources are easily accepted by the body. - Aid in the transport and utilization of other nutrients such as vitamins. - Facilitate the removal of toxic substances ----Vitamins B1, B2 niacin, B12, E, biotin, C, folic acid. Absorbed directly from the sea. ---Live plant enzymes to boost digestion, immune function and overall health. --All the above nutrients are naturally occurring within the structure of the plant. They are absorbed from the pristine seawater it grows in. I always felt this was good news for anyone looking for a nutritional supplement that offers all the nutrients the sea has to offer, minus the " industrial waste " that is so often found in other ocean areas. And yes, it does contain sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, which is added as preservatives. I agree that's a bit of a shame...but...if it has to be in there in order for them to manufacture this product properly and legally, then that's ok with me.. Also, when one realizes that the vast majority of foods consummed on a daily basis have many, many preservatives in them, this tiny amount is really a non-issue (especially when the nutritional content is considered!)...Of course that statement wouldn't apply to those who NEVER consume " mainstream " foods. Obviously..... the people who absolutely, positively never consume anything with preservatives in it, would most likely not look twice at this supplement and I can certainly understand that... Did you happen to go to the National Library of Medicine on line....the PubMed site http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/PubMed/ and do a search on fucoidan? The research is quite fasinating. I would encourage you to take a look. You may be able to find another product containing fucoidan that doesn't have the preservatives in it. I know of one other, but it's not a liquid form, so I figure the processing may destroy alot of the " good stuff " in it..but there could be others. Healthy, Happy Blessings!
