Sorry all, That post dematerialised on posting, and I can't locate a

copy. However I'm guessing it is on Rense.com but has another title

similar with cell phones in the title. This isn't a marketing list,

it's just my empty post with Elaine's normal footer. Everyone is

looking for that one. I feel bad, but I'll see if I can get it.

lol. I said in a recent message that the alternative movement has been seduced into being an industry, competitive with the pharmaceutical industry. For sure, no matter what you get to eat, unless you grow it yourself, you will probably exchange dollars, or some other exchange unit, to attain the product. But that is not the same as becoming an industry with only a bottom line ($s) for consideration. So, even a list for the distribution of information about any number of things, becomes, for some people, a way to market. And, to the point, is that people just wait for the way to offer what it is that they have to sell, to the people on the list, without accusations of spamming the list. Most lists you find it all the time in the signature lines. Little less of that here.

Probably everybody is guilty of wanting to make out on what they have to offer for others' health. But the real bottom of the pit is reached by those who withhold cure until somebody has paid a large amount of money; or, by those that offer cures that have no basis in fact. Modern day use of ephedra being an example of that.

To continue that example, research proved that ephedra burned brown fat in the body. Most fat is white, not brown. But that is not told to the customer. As well, often times, research proved, although not all the time, the unfavorable effects common to ephedra can be mitigated through the combination with caffeine and aspirin. Had to be the pure synthetic aspirin, and not the salicylic acid found in some herbs (white willow bark). The caffeine could be from whole herbs like kola nut (a higher quality of caffeine (xanthines), caffeine being just one of the alkaloids in the xanthine family. The whole herb actually works in a thermogenic manner better than synthetic caffeine because of other thermogenic factors within the xanthine family. And the 3 factors: ephedra, xanthines (caffeine) and aspirin; have to be present in specific amounts. To burn brown fat. To follow a specific plan in the regulation of obesity. Also to be included in an overall management plan of nutrition and exercise. And even at that, there would be people who can't take it. But what do our "alternative" health manufacturers do. They market all kinds of formulas based on absolutely no research and then list mass market them to people who have oftentimes become victims to an easy way of life that is ignorant of staying healthy (working for what you want).

People get diseased because of long term unhealthy practices and then expect miracle cures either from pharmaceutical companies or from the alternative health industry. Both of the industries promise them because that markets product. Truth of the matter is, much of disease is nutrition based (too much of something, too little of something) but often it takes a long time to get out of something (healing) that it took a long time to get into--even longer to heal than the disease process. Its actually easier to stay healthy than to get healthy. Not to debase the efforts to get healthy. They still pay off.

So, while much of what gets on here, on this list, is very imformative. But that informing gets confused by people wanting to make a buck as well. Course, an awful lot of people need to make that buck. They can't afford to buy the foods, herbs, vitamins that they need to regain their health. Selling, sponsoring, for a company is one way to defray against one's costs, and the possibility always exists that one "might" get rich by doing that.

But, the best way to defray one's costs (network marketing where you can sponsor, sponsor, sponsor, and get one's own products free doesn't cut it because of the FACT is that your share of the profits are involved in what is actually an exorbitant cost of product to the bottom level buyer and it often is not cheap but actually very expensive to buy from a network marketing company as a consumer without becoming a recruit of theirs)is to buy the whole herb and either to use it as in and get habituated to whatever taste it has either in its pure whole form, or as a tea. Both of which ways the herb has been consumed for centuries. The next best step, strictly in terms of maintaining low cost, is to buy the herb whole, or "cut and sifted", or as a powder, and put it in veggie caps yourself, which are also pretty inexpensive.
