Hi Barb,

I question the wisdom of any of the isolated elements such as hormones. It

would seem to me that this is a way to

throw our bodies out of balance attempting a quick fix rather than working with

nutrition and wholefood supplements that are nutrient

dense, including plant-based enzymes and probiotics, to bring our bodies into balance. There may be

a situation in which HGH would be desirable, but to take it just because someone is selling it does

not strike me as one of them.

Illegal in 13 states to criticize milk/ growth hormone- good or bad?

Thanks for this interesting article but one thing

I'm confused

on...hgh. Is it bad or good. Seems

in some

discussions people trying to get it for

better

health and vigor and here it seems it must

be

avoided. Anyone understand this? barb

Carol, Barb;

I've seen this argument before. On the one hand some people don't want to

supplement with external hormones, on the other, growth hormone is

essential to life, rehabilitation and repair.

Carol, the background is that as you age, falling levels of growth

hormone is what makes you decrepit even if you practice good nutrition.

As levels fall, this master hormone allows glands and organs to reduce

function and reduce repair. Without growth hormone in the receptor sites,

the cells, though they may be awash in nutrients, are unable to take it

in. The planned obsolescence, the age-related degeneration, is thus

mandated primarily by your growth hormone levels.

Although about half the people I speak to tell me they don't want to live

any longer, all of them want to live healthier. For that, adequate growth

hormone levels are key.

I too question isolated elements such as hormones, but I do support

balance. Increasing HGH promotes this balance.

The difference is that whole food supplements allow one to experience age-

related degeneration in a balanced way, and HGH increase allows one to

experience much less age-related degeneration, also in a balanced way.

There are many examples, one of which would be increased thymus size, and

increased white cell production; both of these immune system aspects are

reduced as planned obsolescence ages us. Because the first cardinal rule

of anti-aging is " don't get sick " this will tend to build towards

satisfying that rule.

Your last comment indicates that you have not looked into the profound

benefits associated with an anti-aging program. There is an impartial

video at http://link.bizland.com/TV_HGH_video.ram compiled from ABC news

and FOX-TV news features that you should find interesting. It deals with

shrunken organs, and shrunken brain, in addition to syndrome X, obesity

and cosmetic appearance.

With more than 20 years of studies, the science is sound on this issue.

For practical advice on the application of the science, anyone with an

interest in HGH or anti-aging will find more commentary than they need

directly from the anti-aging specialists. They believe in nutrient-dense

whole foods, detoxification, nutritional supplements, antioxidants,

exercise, water, etc... but they say the key to preserving robust

function late in life is indeed youthful HGH values.

Note though that the specialists only give HGH injections if the patient

is unable to produce adequate levels with the amino acid trigger. That

happens in a diseased pituitary situation, only about 4% of their

patients.
