Guest guest
Well, in the event that you don't want to financially support the company that makes aspartame, you can also use Citri Solv. It is an orange oil based cleaner. No insect will cross it. Termites, ants, everything. They just won't pass by it, so you can spray your base boards or outside of door frames and windows, etc. It is non toxic for most people. If you have multiple chemical sensitivities, even tho it is natural it can be a problem for some. Guest guest
Do the ants just die? Do you see them dying? If not, perhaps they just don’t want to share space with aspartame. And here are people with less sense than an ant. Gives new meaning to being pea-brained. Guest guest
Hi Donna: That is something that I forgot. And, when my garden was coming up, I was scattering banana and orange peels all over it. They both drive off bugs. Course early on in the year isn’t usually when the bugs are a problem. Although ants can be even then. Of course, it is much easier to get enough of the orange when buying as the product you are mentioning. One might be allergic to this kind of stuff as well. Just as with anything. So, a little experimenting first followed by the much larger application would be the approach to use if afraid at all. Guest guest
I wanted to add that those orange peels and banana peels while driving off bugs that eat bean plants, still draw fruit flies. You can see ample evidence of that in the kitchen when you let them lay. Guest guest
Ok, This may have been asked, but are there anyway to make insect repellent out of Citris skins? I also understand the oil is a good antibiotic. I tried the juicer, and just made a mess.
Guest guest
You can just go buy it ready made. Orange essential oil. Or limonene, or citrus solv. Anyone ever taken an orange peel or lemon or grapefruit and tightly bent the peel so that it squirts our liquid. Then do it and hold a match in front of it. The citrus oils are quite volatile and will ignite. Very fun.
