Guest guest
Silly Bunny! I don't just "dump" them somewhere. They are released in an area that has a food and water supply for them. No where near a populated area. I do not go through all the trouble of catching them just to "dump" them. They are/were here first. We are living in "their backyard" ... people forget that... I would NEVER give/sell to any type of "animal dealer". they are meant to be free not "kept". Snakes are not domestic animals and never will be. Farmers do not want around barns, as they have chickens, and horse people do not want either. They all use cats or chemicals to keep rodents away. I would let them stay here, but they keep eating the eggs and now some of the babiy animals that are here. Time for them to move on. I lived in an area that is not developed so there are lots of places they can go and not be a bother to other humans and end up being killed. Where I live we still have forests left..... so far Lucky Thursday, August 21, 2003 1:13 AM snakes Another option is to sell the snakes to a pet supplier. Check to find out if that species is considered endangered or if it is on a protected list first. A zoo might also like to have a fully grown speciman.. If it is on the protected list for your area then your parks and wildlife service can possibly help with trapping and removal. Warehouses will often give one a good home for the rodent control. Also some farmers would be glad to have him around their barns as well as grain elevators. Feed and seed stores. They keep birds and pigeons down as well since they are a birds' natural enemy too. There are lots of places you could tke him rather than just dumped in the woods somewhere.
