it will be difficult at this point to reverse damage (seed, soil, water) that has already been done. As of 2002, Monsanto owned 60% of ALL the worlds' seeds - buying up seed companies as fast as their attorneys can turn the paperwork around. In addition, Monsanto has been strategically positioning itself in the privatization of the world's water supply. In this recent article - there are 20 million acres of GM corn in the US - representing one-fourth of corn crops...and the Govt has no means of monitoring it...and that's just corn.http://www.sciencenews.org/20030830/food.aspHere are some other links for review that I have saved over the past couple of years.http://www.rense.com/general20/re.htmhttp://www.gene.ch/genet/1999/Oct/msg00009.htmlhttp://www.irc.nl/source/item.php/1836http://www.biotech-info.net/varieties_disappearing.htmlhttp://www.biotech-info.net/licensing_agreement.htmlEspecially read the part about the trees....http://www.cqs.com/50harm.htmhttp://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/Of course, there's more - but given the speed of change in this industry - our food and water, representing our most basic needs are rapidly becoming controlled - and the "natural" resources are disappearing right under our nose. It's easy to trace the base reason and cause of this right down to the bottom line - $$$$Peace - Anna
