Conflicting Sides In Bizarre Car Accident

Conflicting sides on how an Air Force Colonel died in a bizarre car accident.

Philip Shue's wife calls it murder, the Medical Examiner calls it suicide.

On Monday Tracy Shue squared off on Court TV's Catherine Crier Live against the man who claims her husband killed himself.

Shue says she's not confident in Chief Medical Examiner Vincent Di Maio.

Colonel Philip Shue was found dead in his car April 18th.

His wrists and ankles had been duct taped, his chest gashed and his nipples removed. Bexar County's coroner called it a suicide.

"Essentially, we ruled it a suicide, and all the doctors reviewed this case and agreed," said Di Maio.

Dr. Di Maio says an autopsy revealed Colonel Shue's wounds were self inflicted and there were high doses of anesthetic in Shue's system.

Tracy Shue is so convinced Bexar County botched the autopsy, she's now hired her own medical examiner for a second opinion.

She's especially bothered by claims her husband was mentally unstable.

"My husband was a completely stable, normal human being," said Shue.

And this isn't some sort of elaborate life insurance scheme where Mrs. Shue only gets the policy payoff if her husband's death is ruled a homicide.

Tracy Shue says she gets paid either way.
