Guest guest
Hi Ratan. Do you know much about the sympathoadrenal axis? Can you explain it. I have noticed that omega threes from fish oil greatly strengthen my adrenals. I notice an enormous difference in my adrenal function when I don't do the omega 3's and I have wondered why and no one has been able to explain it to me. Thanks Donna - DR. In a pre-publication PMID: 12909818 [PubMed - in process] report, it wasfound that omega-3 works via the sympathoadrenal axis.As yet, it was known that omega 3, found in fish oil and flax seed oil, is ablessing for cancer patients and others too. But the mechanism of action wasnot known. This is the first study to my knowledge that isolates/identifiesat least one of the possible mechanisms.Academically, I was perplexed because a special type of meditation was alsogiving very good results in cancer patients even in the absence of any otherintervention. My discomfort was how to link up the two approaches. What wasthe common channel of action between Omega 3 and meditation? And lo behold Igot the answer!!!The author working on meditation had also proposed the plasma cortisol asone possible mechanism by which meditation might be working. And here comesa good stuy on n-3 (Omega 3) tapping the same channel and getting the sameresult!!!This is lovely science!!!Ratan. My homepage: www.JaipurMart.com/trade/meditationandhealth
