Guest guest
Another opinion: Terri is already dead fer hell sake. As it is, she may live to a ripe old age as a blob of protoplasm on a slab as long as a plastic tube pumps food into her stomach. As far as i am concerned, such a plastic tube IS an extra-ordinary means. If it were ordinary means, more than half of us would take our nourishment that way. Terri -- at least the person that used to inhabit Terri's body -- is DEAD. Let her rest. So, MSNBC is not honest because they apparently disagree with you. Am i being dishonest because i disagree with you? How vain to claim -- intentionally or unintentionally -- that anyone who disagrees with you is dishonest. I am facing what is seeming more and more to be a terminal illness. If i get to a similar place, i hope that someone will have the humanity to say " let him go. " Of course, having a living will in place, that will almost certainly not happen. >Hi, > >well I was watching msnbc today while cleaning house and I got so mad! > >They were discussing terri's case and had some " expert " on and were calling it a right-to-die case.... > >My blood just boiled and my boyfriend got mad at me for talking to loud and fast about it..... > >They were saying Jeb was wrong for going against the " familys " wishes and that terri wanted to die ect.....And that talking-head was going along with it and said " I would not want to be kept alive by extrordinary means " ...apparently she is calling food and water extroirdanary means and so I think she needs to put her money where her mouth is and stop eating and drinking and see if she still feels that way in a day or 2. > >Terri never ever comminicated that she wanted to be starved and dehydrated to death and this makes me so mad. > >This is a right to life case not a right to die case and her evil husband (who should be arrested for polymagamy) is just trying to kill her.....of course none of that ever came out in the little piece on msnbc. > >Does anyone know her email? I would like to write her and suggest she stop eating and drinking and see how she like it...I use to like this lady, but after they way she has turned on poor terri--no more. > >bye cindy -- Neil Jensen: neil The WWW VL: Sumeria http://www.sumeria.net/ " Dragons is sooooo stupid! Guest guest
No neil, msnbc is not lying becasue they disagree with me. If you want to read the truth about terri and her case here is her website that tells the truth. http://www.terrisfight.org I really "appreciate" all the varying "opinions". I posted immediately that I posted to the wrong group and I deleted the posts out of the digest. Apparently there are people that are not happy unless they are picking a fight, but I am not one of them. think what you want, I don't care, but if you your life is so miserable and you want your food and water cut off you don't need for you wife to agree to it or a living will or a court order...you can do it all by yourself...what don't you start right now, and see how if feels. Guest guest
Teri's fight? The the truth is that she's not fighting. She's dead. Her body is just lying there like a slab of warm meat and will evidently do so until some kind of divine intervention occurs because human compassion obviously can not or will not. >If you want to read the truth about terri and her case here is her website that tells the truth. > ><http://www.terrisfight.org>http://www.terrisfight.org > -- -- Neil Jensen: neil The WWW VL: Sumeria http://www.sumeria.net/ The only good Republican is one who is not registered to vote. Guest guest
Cindy as far as I am concerned don't be sorry. You are right. I had the same thoughts. Polygamy by way of common law marriage. Could there be such a thing as common law divorce? I believe Terri could even be able to say whether she wanted to die or not by by eye blinks or something. Did you read the report of an RN who had what she wrote in her chart every shift if it were favorable removed by the time she came back on her next shift? Things like she would giggle when read something humorous or would say pay.... when in pain. She couldn't say the N or managed to throw back the sheets when she soiled her diapers to let them know they needed changing and would even scoot down so they could be changed. When her husband came he would sometimes lock the door to her room and stay in there about 20 minutes. After leaving Terri , She would become shaky and pale and the RN would check Terri's blood sugar and it would be so low it would not read on the meter. The RN would then give Terri a glucose wafer that would bring her out of it. Terri was not on insulin but the RN suspected that during those locked door times sweet Micke ey was shooting her up with natural insulin in hopes of killing her. If the public is to know the truth they need to hear from the two RN's that took care of Terri and have given sworn statements as to the matter. Guest guest
Hi Neil, Terri is fighting...and she is communicating... friday night on my radio station they had witnesses speak (because they are in trial again) and terri responds differently to different people. she responds one way to her mom and one way to her brother and she totally ignores her husband. This is not a person that is a piece of meat on a slab. Now if terri wanted to starve and dehydrate herself I would say go-for-it, but she has not. Now you have said that you would like to starve and dehydrate yourself to death, and so I hope you consider starting that today for the sake of all those that don't wish to. Guest guest
Let’s not make this into a war. Much of what get’s said in regards to those who are in Terri’s situation certainly relates to our own feelings. As such, there is little logical argument that can change the expression of our own feelings. I would side with Neil were it myself in the given situation. I side with Terri though because it is evident, if I accept it as true the things stated (I have not been a witness)that she desires to live, whatever living is. Each person can only feel what would be right, in a situation like this, for oneself, rather than making the decision for somebody else. I am the decision maker for my family, as expressed by my father’s legal statement should he get into a similar situation. I’ve assured him, by contract, and verbally, that I would abide by his wishes, unless, he was able to verbally re-express them. Moreover, these have been his known, discussed wishes his entire life, as they are also mine. Not saying what they are. But, we do not NEED to be wishing Terri’s situation upon anybody. Ok? Terri had obviously not made known her wishes in regards to the predicament that she is in. If she is making known her wishes somehow now, and those wishes are for continued life with hope, then she should live. I don’t call that living, she does, if such be such. That is fine with me. Its her life to choose. My own determination to choose otherwise is certainly not a judgment upon her or anybody else. And I hope that my choice would not cause others to judge me. Guest guest
Good post! Seems to me Terri's husband wants her out of the way, -a real rat.... I'll bet good nutrition would pull her out of it. -- In , Cindy Porter <pgmr_64804> wrote: > Hi Neil, > > Terri is fighting...and she is communicating... > > friday night on my radio station they had witnesses speak (because they are in trial again) and terri responds differently to different people. she responds one way to her mom and one way to her brother and she totally ignores her husband. Guest guest
She can and does blink to communicate. She follows instructions as open your eyes Terri. She never liked to be kissed by her father and says uh uh when he does and turns her head away. He asks her doesn't she want him to kiss her? after that and she says uh uh again. Forensics are looking at her medical charts and say there were bone fractures. The husband wants a cremation immediately upon her death. The sheriffs dept wants to do an autopsy if that happens and the husband is naturally fighting it. It appears that she was suffocated for 5 minutes back when the husband says she collapsed. This may lead to his loss of the insurance money that was collected. The had given the parents power of attorney in case anything ever happened to her. The husband went to the parents and told them he wanted to take care of her the rest of her life and they believed that and signed over guardianship and power of attorney to him. He has not made any effort to secure a divorce. Look at the pictures of her and tell me she is brain dead. It is clear she is not by just looking into her eyes. She giggles when something funny is said. She shows fear when told her husband wants her dead. Her husband has denied therapy that was ordered for her by doctors who said she would be able to learn to swallow and drink on her own. The husband has done everything he can to keep her from getting better. Is it he is afraid she will be able to communicate what he did to her? We all want to live longer. That is why we are here. maybe a solution for the future would be a place on a drivers licensee like the organ donor thing. Then there would be little question of the desires of the person. I have a cousin that was in a wreck. He was in a comma for a year and a half. Suddenly something connected and he came out of it. He never went back to his old self but went on to marry and have three kids and oodles of grandkids. He was studying to be an engineer and while he lost the high intellect he had he could and does function better than most of the younger generation. A bleeding heart? Not me! I am all for a death sentence when there is no doubt about guilt. Turn on the juice and fry em. A fast and speedy trial with a fast sentencing and execution. But this is not a case where the media at large is to be trusted. We are talking about the same media that tells us flu shots are good for us. The media that advertises for soy products. The ones that heap all the hype about all the drugs that are good for us and tell us to ask your doctor. The media that told us the war was over and never questioned it. They still don't. The media that tells us there is NO cure for cancer at all, but that there is hope ahead if you donate enough money to fix the problem and find a cure. So if your belief system puts that much faith in the controlled media then why is anybody here to begin with? I want to learn so I can help others who have not had a chance to learn the alternative methods of healing. I would like to believe there is some hope for anybody. Terri demonstrates she has that hope and more if it is not stolen from her. Jim Payne
