Guest guest
This Christmas brought me a vivid reminder that one cannot just supplement one's way to health, no matter how superb the quality of the supplements. Good personal habits are vital too. My Christmas 2004 was quite spoilt by the Cold from Hell, perversely peeking in misery just during the two days we spent at our daughter's place. Not exactly a life shattering occurrence, but I am a firm believer in getting the maximum amount of learning from the minimum amount of pain. So, let's take some personal responsibility here and see what happened. In the 4 week period preceding this mini breakdown, I had been guilty of the following, in random order. *Too much dairy. I can get away with a bit of butter and cheese twice a week or so. Daily use is asking for trouble, at least for me. *Running out of Fiberzon, my usual daily intestinal broom. Traditional teaches that the lungs are the partner organs of the large intestine. General mucous buildup all over increased even more. *Hardly any exercise. ( I do know better. Inertia is a powerful force) *Not enough fluid intake. That water bottle looks a lot less attractive in cold weather. *last but not least: Indulging in handfuls of commercial chocolate chips while preparing otherwise wholesome oatmeal/everything cookies. Refined sugar depresses the immune system. I had not been this miserable since 1996, pre-algae. That time I ended up with walking pneumonia. This time I am back to 75% normal after 4 days. Praise the Goddess (or deity of choice) and pass the Shipibo Tea and Aquazon. Ien in the Kootenays, still coughing a bit but back among the living. *********************************************************You ought to be thankful, a whole heaping lot,For the places and people you're lucky you're not!Dr. Seusshttp://businesshelpingpeople.comPersonal and business introduction page*********************************************************
