Pet food & hypothyroidism...

I'm glad to see this circulating again. I realize this list is geared toward humans, but we need to know what's going on w/ our pets. Pretty much explains why our pets are getting cancer, etc. As with humans, pets need to eat what their bodies were designed to eat. In the case of dogs, meat and veggies are good; cats are obligate carnivores and thus need meat. I've been feeding my cats a raw diet for close to seven years now. The difference is remarkable.

As for hypothyroidism.....I have it. It "showed up" after I spent three years drinking my morning soy protein drink. Funny....I thought it was supposed to help me, but instead it inhibited my thyroid from doing its job. Then I got breast cancer, which I later found out was connected to hypothyroidism (among other things), lack of iodine, etc. Then they radiated me, which further exacerbated the problem. Amazing things they do. <sigh>

I'm doing well now, thanks to this and a couple other health lists, as well as diligence in eating properly and eliminanting the culprits. In today's world, one must really be informed. :))
