(AP) — _ The state may provide scholarships for special-education students

to attend private schools under a

proposal introduced by Reps. Daryl Metcalfe, R-Butler, and Jeff Coleman,

R-Armstrong. The so-called Special

Education Mandate Relief and Options Act also would allow parents to send

their students to other public schools

that provide special education services not available in the schools to

which they are legally assigned.
