Guest guest
hi everyone! i am new on the list. to introduce myself, i am a student of oriental medicine at samra university in los angeles. i am still relatively new to the field, however, as i have only begun my studies in september. i have a question concerning cystic fibrosis. a friend of mine has had CF since childhood, and so far (now about 27 years old), has been beating the odds all his life by leading a very active and relatively healthy life. his doctors have recently told him that he has contracted an infection that could change all of this in a few short years. unfortunately, it seems that western medicine has given him all it has to offer, and now in order to extend his life or at least minimize any pain/discomfort that is expected in his future, he needs some alternative options. does anyone know if acupuncture can treat CF with any degree of success? can it help him beat this infection and lengthen his life? what about herbs? ANY information at all would be most helpful to me. thanks in advance, christy
