I am Greg Dember, have practiced acupuncture for 5 years, trained

basically in TCM approach.

I took Richard Tan's seminar and have found his system to be effective.

My experience has been that if I can find a really tender point on the

contralateral other limb where it's supposed to be according to his

theory, that the method ususally works. Sometimes I combine it with

local electroacupuncture, which is what I used to do (for musculoskeletal

pain in the limbs) mainly before I took his seminar.

I have also incorporated the balance method in treating deeper systemic

stuff and found that it improves my results.

I think that in the kind of practice that Richard Tan has, combining it

with other approaches is pointless, because he sees so many people in an

hour that he doesn't have time to get really complicated. But for me,

who rarely sees more than 1 per hour, it works well to mix it in with

other approaches.

good luck!

Greg
