Janine, you are right when you say we have chosen a difficult path. I have to

teach Shiatsu at a couple of different colleges in order to make ends meet. I

live off child support and after 2 1/2 years in my practice, I wonder when

I'll stop just 'breaking even'. I promised myself I would try to hold on to

my practice for at least 5 years but it's hard to be optimistic day after

day. I do try, I am not always this morose!

 

Melissa/Rajput: I like the idea of calling ourselves Yi Sheng. Thanks. You

are right that fear needs to stay out of it. I've been reading a book on

money consciousness and it reminds me to keep a spiritual mindset. I have

been saying everyday lately, " God, this is your clinic. What would you have

me do today? " I have to admit, the phone has been ringing more.

 

Michael, do I know you? You seem to know me! If you were in Rockford over

Xmas why didn't you call? We could have traded treatments. Certainly I could

use one. Remember this next time you find yourself this way. Even if I don't

know you, it's nice to meet with other practioners.

 

Greg, I understand what you are saying. I work intuitively a lot of the time

also, and I wouldn't always be able to explain every needle I've placed. I am

forever reading acupuncture books and trying out new theories. I am into

ankle/wrist acupuncture lately. It has been very effective for me so far. I

also add in other modalities if I feel like it. I use some colored light

occasionally and I have a violet ray machine which I really like. (Edgar

Cayce was big on them). I've also used Vita Fons products and lately I've

read a book by Shakuntala Modi about her use of hypnosis and past life

regression to get people healed from their chronic pain.

 

To everyone: has anyone used those ear staples for weight loss? I finally

bought a stapler because so many women called up wanting that. I'm skeptical

but I certainly want to provide something if enough people ask for it.
