Guest guest
This list is a welcome blessing! I'm an acupuncturist practicing in a rural area in Texas, with a small practice after 12 years of practicing mainly geriactric and HIV/AIDS specialties. I taught for a year in TCM theory and point indications. My practice is small because I have three young children and choose not to have them constantly babysat by others. I like being a mom! Where I live, there is no doctor within 90 miles, only a physician assistant clinic. The PA has recently invited me to practice in his clinic! It has always been my dream to work closely with other practitioners, which I have done in terms of alternative medicine, and now this wish is coming true in the Western field also. One of my teachers at Southwest Acupuncture College in Santa Fe, Win Smith (who now practices in Ft. Meyers, Fla. I believe), told us that we would integrate acupuncture with Western medicine only if we treat the doctors and their families. That way, they know first-hand that acupuncture works! (How else would one know it?) I'll welcome any response to my opinions and hope to learn much from reading your posts, any and all of them.
