I am going through a stage of missing it a bit. Thanks Gye Hi Gye, Been finding that I have occassional difficulties with St 36 also. It seems that I find it the easiest when I palpate right after the flare of the tibia bone and then go slightly lateral. I seem to be able to fall into the Men a bit easier when I go lateral. See if that works for you. Aloha, Janine __________________________ ___ __________________________ ___ Message: 2 Tue, 18 Jan 2000 23:59:30 EST DautoBrody trigger point Question for everyone... Does anyone have any experience with the trigger-point approach to acupuncture? Just came home from an open house of a school that concentrates mostly on the trigger point approach, and heavily on the Japanese meridian system. Is the effect that much different from the TCM or 5 elements approach? Lauren Hi Lauren, Been using the book " Close to the Bone " by Legg (can't remember his first name) quite a bit lately. Have you heard of it? He is an Acupuncturist and Osteopath from Australia. It is an excellent reference for muscular-skeletal problems and he addresses trigger points and referred pain from them. He also covers the western anatomy and TCM diagnosis quite well and ties them all together. Often the trigger points are the actual acupuncture points, so I find using them as Ashi points really releases the stuck Chi. You can order the book from Redwing. www.redwingbooks.com. Hope you find this interesting and helpful. Aloha, Janine __________________________ ___ __________________________ ___

There has been some discussion happening in the background behind the scenes of the list in formalising an archive. I have been involved with this and since this is more a technical question regarding '' I will as previously mentioned take the liberty of answering and leave the more important function of answering specific healing questions to those who know best <g>. Now, Jenny, yes there is an archive that is automatically created by whenever anyone posts to the list. Albiet it is primitive but it does work. So each email sent in is indexed by all the words in the email (misspellings and all!) and then these words are searchable by an function which I will tell you how to access now: Accessing the archive: Step One: The purpose of this step is to go to the online location of the emails that have been sent to this list. They are stored here effectively making it an " archive " of sorts. Under the options for this group it states that " Archives for members only " . So to access them you need to be a member of the list. Step One: You need to sign into and pqhanda to access the old emails as the list is set up as " Archives for members only " . To do this go to this page: /login.cgi?login_target=%2Fgroup%2F Step Two: After the new page comes up, in the right hand side box on this page you can sign into pqhanda by filling in the boc next to the words " Email address " with your complete email address that you to pqhanda with and also fill in the box next to the words " Password " with your password. Then click on the " Sign in " button. You do this so that you will be logged into the pqhanda list taking you to the URL " " . Step Three: On the list page you will notice that down the left side with the words " Main Page " the following options will now be highlighted in blue: > Main Page Subscribe Messages Post Members Files Database Chat Click on the word " Messages " in that left hand side list that I have just described. This will take you to the URL " /messages/ " where the messages and the archive can be accessed! Step Four: Now to access the archive do the following. On the right hadn side of the page in step three (ie " /messages/ " ) you will see the words " Search | Family Filteris off " . Under these words there are two boxes like this: " [This Archive][ ]GO " Now all you need to do to access all emails previosly sent into pqhanda is to do the following. In the box with the button labelled " GO " next to it type in the item you wish to search for. For example if I wanted to see all emails that have been sent in that mention " cancer " I would enter the word cancer in the box next to the " GO " button. When I did this 30 posts came back (post number " 630 Re: cristals " that Master Fe sent on " Wed 1/3/2001 " is at the top of the list and at the bottom is email " 304: Re: cancer " sent by Salvador III Neri on " Mon 10/2/2000 " . Step Five: To access the emails sent in already on say " cancer " , once the list comes back like in step four just click on each entry in the list. For example click on " 630 Re: cristals " and the email that Master Fe just sent that is listed there will come up. So there you go! There are other features too but that should get you going. IF yuo do not want to search for a particular topic but just want to browse the archive go back to Step Three above and just click on " Messages " . This will list the most current posts to the list. If you want to go back tothe beginning of the list or any point in it you will notice on the " " page that above the list of emails there is the words " [Expand] Jump to # [ ] " Each email in pqhand has a unique number. The lower the number the earlier the post. All you have to do is put an earlier number in the box labelled " Jump to # [ ] " , such as " 2 " and it will take you back to the beginning of the list. I hope this helps Jenny. In the future there may be other documents posted to from an older pranic healing list that will also be accessible but they are not available yet and no doubt Master Fe or Charlotte will advice when theyare available (so don't ask about it yet please). If anyone gets stuck and has trouble just email me off list with what you were doing when it went haywire and what happened and what you expected to happen and I will be pleased to help you access the archive.
