I never found them good for body points, but also did not try many models. I use an Acuhealth Professional 900--about $300 Cdn for ear point location and occasional body and ear stimulation esp for children and others afraid of needles. However it is nowhere nearly as effective as needles. It is effective for ear point location. See Terry Oleson's book for more info on auriculotherapy. Available easily here in Canada is WQ10D1 and similar models from mainland China. They can double as a point locator, but mainly used as a basic model for electric acupuncture stimulation. $160 Cdn. It also is not a very good locator, but fine for EA. It can also be set up as a TENS machine. Richard
