Guest guest
Murray, I was just wondering why you are only considering the low power end. As an acupuncturist (and martial artist) I get many people who complain of joint and muscle pain as well as breaks and sprains. A visible diode less than 680 with only 1-4mw would not be effective for muscle pain. As I understand it the IR (780 up) units in the 50 mw class would be suitable for both. Meaning I could treat the acupuncture points on a low setting and the sprains on the larger setting. I still like my needles but I like to have all the options. I have been considering several different units like the Seirin (http://www.seirin.com/uk/acu/laserpen.htm) the THOR (http://thorlaser.com/) the Mastro (http://www.medicom.cz/lat/en/mbio.htm) Clini-lase (http://www.tumelaser.com.au/) MD 130 (http://www.lasotronic.ch/ ) I would be interested in comments, suggestions and advice. Especially since the visible diodes are much more affordable. murray cole [murrayc] Friday, February 18, 2000 9:00 PM acupuncture onelist acupuncture re Diode laser " murray cole " <murrayc Hi Josep, I was wondering if you have had any experience with various laser wavelengths and power, I'm only familiar with the original 632nm, red laser, and 1mw. they have been very successful up to now for babies and young children. Nowadays there is quite a selection of power and wavelength in the red diode lasers, the wavelengths I'm interested in are 635nm, 650nm and 670nm. and power between 1 and 5 mwatts. Are you able to help me in this area, I cannot find any information on whether a 635 is better or worse than a 670 etc, The only info I can get on the power is that the low power lasers are better for children for acupuncture use. I'm not interested in infrared which I know are good, and have quite a range of power and wavelengths, I don't require that sort of power. Thank you cheers Murray. ---------- -- Please click above to support our sponsor ---------- --
