I actually usually switch ears from treatment to treatment. The approach that works best for me is *5-needle-protocol in the ear (shen-men, kidney, liver, lung, endocrine) *constitutional treatment (disperse liver qi, or whatever is called for) *Tian-mi (sweet point) a special point for stop-smoking which is near Lu-7 (I can't describe it's location, I'd have to show you in person) *At least 2 treatments per week for two weeks *The patient has stopped smoking before the acupuncture series begins and does not smoke at all during the two-weeks of treatment (or ever again, hopefully!) *No nicotine patches or gum either * I suggest a follow-up treatment about 2 months later --Greg
Guest guest
Dear Giovanni: A good way to determine the dominant ear is throug R.A.C., auriculomedicine. You pass the stick over the points on the ear while you are taking the pulse. Then, the same on the other ear. When the pulse jumps more clearly, that's is the signal for the dominant ear. I have a friend who knows a lot of this, so if you want me to ask him more details or some other easier ways... Muchas gracias por su atención, Thank you very much for all your attention, Josep Carrion. jcarrionterapeuta
