i am 7 months pregnant, and having heart palpitations quite frequently. i am

not sure if it is appropriate, i am writng to cunsult with those on this

list about my condition. my tongue is red with a white-yellow coat, mostly

near the back. often i have " bald " patches in the coating. i have been

treated for peptic ulcer, and my last acupuncturist (he moved away , sadly)

suspected the patches corresponed with stomach irritation and ulcer. the

weirdest thing is that last week, in one of these patches was a perfect

target shape, like perfect concentric circles, about half the size of a

dime. i am interested in Chinese medicine and am getting credits at the

University so i can apply at a Chinese medicine school, so with the little

i know, i am always cheking out my tongue, etc. the other thing is that i

have had some stomach irritation, which correspond with the patch theory,

and the fact there is a yellow coat, the stomach is feeling better this week

due to dietary changes, and i have less of a coat. however, i am wondering

if there are some explanations or remedies, or other signs i can observe in

myself to figure out the heart condition. i have no money to see an

acupuncturist, so i am kind of on my own. my midwife just says this is

normal for pregnancy, but i feel there is an imbalance and i would like to

learn more about it and perhaps remedy it. my condition last spring , when

getting treated for digestive distress, was basically liver overacting on

the stomach, spleen deficient, damp heat. and he said i had some heart heat.

any advice anyone has would be great. i know this isnt enough info to

diagnose anything, but if anyone has any ideas on how i can treat myself, or

learn more about heart palpitations, that would help. i want to know if the

palpitations affect the heart of the baby, etc. also if anyone has any clues

about the bizarre concentric circles on my tongue that would be interesting

too!

thanks!
