The difference is a healer does something to you to make you " healed " (just like a priest absolving you of your sins- completely out of your control). A traier or a coach teaches you how to help yourself. And because you did the drill yourself, and because a trainer makes sure you have access to the information in a logical understandable way, not only can you get results, you can duplicate the process, or help others to learn the process so they can have quality measurable " healing " too. Or you can just go to the " healer " and get " fixed " and when the healer is gone feel hurt and sad because they won't help you. lol! > > Did I ever tell you about the time I was real concerned for an older > female relative, so I worked on her remotely...and, damn it...she > got better! > > Then I told her what I'd done remotely... > > ...and she was back to her normal condition within hours. > > I guess when God didn't do it, it wasn't good enough. > > What presuppositions are here or infered group? > > Sincerely, > She presupposed that you couldn't help her, only God could. Reminds me of that joke about the guy who wanted God to save him from the flood, and yet wouldn't accept the help of the guy in the boat, or the helicoptor, that all came to save him. It wasn't God so it wasn't God's will. In the medical community right now it is full of this same concept. They want you to believe that they are the " healers " . Cancer is a great example of that. There has been no proof that chemotherapy actually works better than say using alternitive methods. I read about a 80 year old man, who was diagnosed with heart disease and the doctor told him he would die in less than 6 months. The doctor wanted him to immediately start on pills and told him not to exert himself in any way, and live his last 6 months sick and in bed. The guy got pissed said no fuck you. He walked out of the hospital, overweight, unhealthy eater and decided if he was going to die he was going to do it his way. He was going to kill himself by running himself to death. So right then he left his car and ran home. And got up the next day and ran as far and as hard as he could, until he was completely exhausted. And did this day after day after day. And lo and behold he didn't die. He got better and healthier and happier and now likes to run marathons. He cured himself, without the " experts " . In going against their instructions he created a new life for himself. kali

Nice comparison Kali, ....and this is the same problem I " see " with being a health care professional... Many clients come to use the therapist, just like they use a hot spa...or to use a tanning booth... ....NOT to learn what to do, but to pay us $200 an hour and have us " do it " (whatever " it " is) to them, so they can get better because of us. Oops! Just as the current religions tend to have you go to their church and cause your sins to disappear BECAUSE they interceed for you, instead of the older version where " by your works ye shall be known " ... Let me tell you a story... There is this one neat lady (a friend of mine for the past 8 years) that used to drive all the way from Portland to Ashland (about a 5 hr drive) to have Donna work on her... ....Donna attempted to " teach " the client how to do the drills on herself... NOPE! It's worth the drive. Donna moves to Florida. Donna cannot be found with a 5 hour drive. The client now starts spending big bucks to go to the Eden seminars. She pays for flights, hotels, car rental, seminar fees, blab, blab, blab... ....and finally the " client " now knows the drills and teaches the drills to others. And the " client " is MUCH much healthier now then she was when Donna worked on her once a month! But it took Donna disappearing to get her motivated enough to DO THE DAMN DRILLS for herself, on herself! So, group, what is this post about?
