It was pretty crass of me to call drinking coffee a nasty habit. I should have said for me it has turned into a nasty addiction. That's because in the last four years I've developed a very low-grade reflux that has affected only my singing voice. (I drink it black so the additives aren't a factor.) Several ENTs and a Kinesiologist have told me that the problem is probably the coffee.

 

Of course, I've only recently been a member of this list. My guess is that plenty of members have good suggestions as to how to deal with this, and still enjoy coffee. (This is a hopeful plea.)

 

On a related note, there's a guy who claims that drinking enough water cures most problems such as reflux (and many other things). His site is www.watercure.com. I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts about this?
