Why do people NOT do the basic 5 minute drill when they Know they should?

Actually this is a pretty good question.

 

And the answer to this is one of the same catagory of answers " why "

someone who knows better will still smoke that cigarette, or will

still use a lot of salt, or will still NOT work out,

 

....or will NOT be satisfied with their 3 year old car, but must buy

the newest model out there...

 

....or the new computer...

 

....or the new gun...

 

....or, the blab, blab, blab.
