Guest guest
I was doing some research for a new book, and I came across this article that I found informative. It was about, " How to Be More Interesting " . " You can't save souls in an empty church, " said David Ogilvy. " And you can't bore people into buying your product. " There is a whole lot there. And, how can the Healing Energies practictioners use that concept so they can practice their healing arts and make wheelbarrows full of fungoles at the same time? Guest guest
Doc, I'm curious, did you finish David Ogilvy's article on or just before Monday, May 2 @ 2:30AM? Probably just coincidence, but for some reason that time jumped out at me. I don't know how you or this group could be more interesting and have even more inspired discussions than it does... but perhaps you have found another way to do so. An empty church doesn't support the church leadership or structural needs very well... Bored people are not very inspired to return to that location, or continue down that path. If you inspire people they may work a lot harder for you and your cause... Or to market your products or help sell your beliefs (if you're into that kind of thing...) Hey, was this article on religion, business strategies, alternative medicine, or simply every day living? It seems to be blurring the clarity between them. Don't you think? If healing Energies practitioners want to be successful (heal lots of people OR improve their own skills OR make a good living, etc... ) perhaps they should utilize the universal skills of BE INTERESTING, FILL YOUR CLIENT Schedule, HAVE FUN - TEACH FUN, Inspire others to want to learn more. Just my random thoughts, Greg R. > > > On > Behalf Of docspeed2001 > Wednesday, May 04, 2005 5:39 PM > > David Ogilvy speaks up! > > > > I was doing some research for a new book, and I came across > this article that I found informative. Guest guest
Hmmm, not 10 minutes before reading this email, I read an article by John Carlton with the same quote... His article was about telling stories in marketing copy. I think my subconscious is telling me something!
