Dear Chad, Blindness is: not recognizing the different learning styles, assuming that people are handicapped because they aren't visual, and putting them in special ed and/or medicating them, or making them feel inferior. Guest guest
Thank you very much for the link, Pat. His comment was not a negative one, but a very approving one. Oddly enough, though, your remark does strike its mark, since, as a child, I was diagnosed with several thousand learning disorders, I'm sure, which is why I was put in " Special Education " because, obviously, being bored with materials you've already taught yourself is ADD. But for me, ADD stands for Amazingly Developed Dignitary. Because Dignitary was the only word I could find /grin , " Pat Burke " <esyoga@c...> wrote: > " Another friend of mine today described me as a blind man who senses his way through the world around him. Guest guest
To Chad; Have you considered that you get a purer perception because it is not clouded by subjective pictures which are but interpretations? Sincerely, Loren
Guest guest
I have not, but will definitely take this into consideration. But now that I'm aware of what my " perception sense " (if you will) is, I can begin to fine tune it. My philosophy is that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, then beat em, teehee. So if my kinesthetic awareness is much more keen than my visual or anything else, it'll be easier to tweak what I already have, and in doing so, bring up the rest by default. I think it would be sort of the one sense teaching the others after you train it first. /shrug Thanks for that POV though, I truly appreciate having that to think about. Guest guest
Hmmm, what do you mean by " by default " ? I ask this because I feel energy and have done for years. I can also see energy in some cases but usually with my eyes closed. It took a conscious decision and practice (along with some great advice from people) to start perceiving energy through other senses. getting better at feeling energy just made me better at feeling it - it didn't make me any better at doing anything else....it took intention and practice to do THAT. - " aeambassador " <aeambassador Wednesday, May 11, 2005 2:30 AM Re: for chad 2 >I have not, but will definitely take this into consideration. Guest guest
I was thinking of it as a sort of sensory-awareness pot, if you will. You can't pour water in the right side of a pot without filling up the left " by default. " For example, from doing Hakalau, I saw my third eye chakra and strange flows for the first time. Having seen the strange flows, I was more aware of them, and began sometimes feeling them. Now being twice as aware, I noticed that when I see a strange flow cross over my normal field of vision, I get a strange ring in my ears. I suppose if I really paid attention I might also notice a certain scent, and perhaps a taste (but I smoke, so the taste is iffy /grin). Donna mentions people who can taste and smell energy, so why not me? But then again, I'm a very " why not? " kind of guy. If I can do one thing, why not something else? If someone else can go to level, why not me? If someone else can instantly heal, why not me? If I can do something, why not you? If she can do something, why not him? And, having no valid reason why not, I set out to do what I believe to be possible, and usually pull it off. I did just learn an interesting POV on seeing energies and its layers and colours, this morning. Start by looking for the " shadowy substance, " the thickest and easiest part of energy to see. If you don't know how to do that, ask and you shall recieve. I've yet to have a problem teaching someone to see that, and it's the part I can see myself. Then, when you see that part, defocus your eyes a little further and look past the shadowy substance just like how you saw the substance in the first place. Simplistic, but hopefully not overly so. Well, I've got theta sounds to hear and walls to stare at! Sa Radostom, Chad
