Well, the story does lack substance...

 

....and the story does lack verication...

 

....and prayer has been proven to cause a tiny reaction at a distance

(see the Spindrift studies out of Eugene OR, and talked about by

several researchers, Dossey)...

 

To me, because of the lack of supporting details, the above story is

more of a metaphor to isomorphically fit certain psychological types

that are very religious, to help support their religion...

 

....which is all well and good.

 

Now, on the other hand, if the one " changed " by the prayer, had been

brought up on religion so it was deeply installed into his

subconscious, THEN any prayer (done properly), MIGHT TRIGGER those

old beliefs into bloom again, especially if they supposidily came

from God, as the sister prayed it to be done.

 

....this is especially true if the man was constantly fighting that

inner battle, and was at the cross-threshold point, where a God on

one side of the balance point would surely tip the scales.

 

Now, it was NOT from God (directly), but that didn't matter because

of the young man's filters and beliefs...

 

If it was projected to him, in proper prayer, that God was speaking

to him, in the form of a God that he knew, feared, blab, blab, blab,

then his deep unconscious filters would allow that message to get

through, and get through very powerfully.

 

Did anyone notice I just gave " a " key to MENTAL DOMINANCE over

others?

In other words, if, while RV/RI'ing a " religious person " (whatever

that is), they see you while you're doing it, stop, act very dramatic,

and say, " TIMMY! THIS IS GOD! (Allah, The Almighty Google, whatever) "

 

 

All joking aside, what I'm getting from this is that the only way to

install a belief/behaviour/what-have-you (at least, quickly and

effectively) is to use their existing belief structure. Look for

however they see whatever it is they believe in, and use that language.

 

Trying to make a poly-amorous person " settle down " will not likely

bloody work, because they simply don't see what they're doing as

wrong. Trying to have a Christian " lighten up, live a little, and try

out a threesome or two " will probably not work. Getting a Jewish

person to eat pork, will probably not work.

 

At least, this is what I'm getting, anyway. Now what I'm trying to

figure out is why Doc wrote " dOMINANCE " like that, twice...

this is the same aspect that Serge Kahili King talks about in the context of

belief in the " healer " is it not? The person has to have confidence in the

therapist/teacher/trainer/coach/ etc.

 

i think this is where Donna is so strong because she continually

demonstrates mastery in her subject and with different people. this

installs belief in the people attending her seminars. As has been said

before - the key is maintaining that belief after the show is over - in

other words, providing a framework which allows people to integrate EM

skills into their life.
