Good point. That is something I need to be integrating into my work right now! www.coachdrgridley.com
Guest guest
Hello ALL, Besides all the thoughts that went through Sue's mind I would suggest curiosity on how I set the client up to respond like this and what can I do differently to help future clients respond in a manner that would benefit them and satisfy me at the same time. I think earlier someone posted a criteria that Dr. La Tourrette taught them about taking on new clients that was pretty useful. And part of me wants to calmly suggest she might need to get her healing somewhere else. I bet I'll think of more....Sue

PR as in Psychological Reversal or - oh hell I hate when I lose my train of thought - oh! Public relations... lol > Part of me wants to tell her not to let the door hit her ass on the way out. Yeah.. that too.. but there were LOTS of reasons in my mind for this group and I tried (not very well apparently) to share my goals for it. > And part of me wants to calmly suggest she might need to get her healing somewhere else. Well, I wound up just stopping the group for now... to allow myself to review and really focus on what it is that I want and to change the format of the idea... instead of trying to be welcoming to everyone that wanted to come and trying to make everyone feel welcome and allowing their contributions.. I have decided that's NOT such a great idea after all.... but then I bet you already had figured that out. > I bet I'll think of more....Sue > > > > www.coachdrgridley.com

I'm going to take a little leap here and suggest that I was so busy on trying to accomodate everyone that I forgot to stay true to my focus. This group was more of an open forum.... someone would talk and express what they were experiencing - then as people wanted to respond they could or not.. we would tap (NeiGong/EFT) and do energy medicine - I was teaching the five minute routine one step at a time one week at a time - so that they had time to really integrate each step into their day.... maybe not the best.. but seemed to work... > I think earlier someone posted a criteria that Dr. La Tourrette taught them > about taking on new clients that was pretty useful. > > To Your Best, > Dr. Houston Vetter > http://www.achieve-your-potential.com > > > At 08:07 PM 6/15/2005, you wrote: > > >In a message dated 6/15/05 7:35:47 PM, rhyanamarie writes: > > > > > >> " She said, as soon as she handed you > >>money that last evening, she could > >>feel the healing stop. Guest guest
hiya, it struck me reading your post (and this may just be me interpreting) that your language was passive and a little ambiguous. Were you meeting with these women or were you training them? Did you provide a meeting room or training venue? You asked for a contribution but allowed some people to not pay - if you left any other servie provider without paying it would be considered a crime - unless you had just cause.....so maybe by letting them not pay you were giving the group just cause? Imparting skills is different to meeting with people and I wondered how much this might have impacted on the work you wanted to do. I think this kind of meets up with what Jack was saying about need/desire..... just some of my thoughts.... cris - " rhyanamarie " <rhyanamarie Wednesday, June 15, 2005 11:47 PM Thank you & Paying for Energy work > Hello again everyone... > > A quick note to tell everyone thank you for > your thoughts about going to a chiropractor. > To all of you who answered my question and > gave incredible suggestions, a big thank you. > > For all of you that got your > TW activated... your welcome > > So, now on to another topic.. this should > get some interesting remarks I'm thinking... > > " She said, as soon as she handed you > money that last evening, she could > feel the healing stop. The same people often will also put down free services because " You get what you pay for " . Its not just a matter of not valuing your work Many people seem to have a locked in concept that any healing or spiritual work for which there is a charge is fraudulent. I know my relatives are appalled that I accept money for " spiritual " work . The attitude does not make sense .
