" Hi Bill, The post was because the POOR BUCKWHEAT was leading people astray with his OWN STUPID BELIEFS and VALUES. So the posts that I did were NOT for him, but for the rest of the list. Those with any damn brains at all can then MAKE UP THEIR OWN MINDS, and that is what Huna is all about. ....learning how to MAKE UP YOUR OWN MINDS (uhand, unihipili and aumakua). I suggest that the poor buckwheat learn how to READ BETTER, and it might be WISE OF HIM to learn how to COMPREHEND! The FIRST SKILL of Huna is to LIVE AT CAUSE! It is NOT to blindly FOLLOW the leader, whom ever it might be. It is NOT to regurgitate Christian rules and regulations and dogma that was USED TO SUBDUE the masses for the past 2,000 years. And, please note, I am NOT talking about what Jesus Christ said, did and taught, but the sheeple making that followed under his name after he was gone. Actually one of the most immoral things a person can do to HIMSELF and to others is the STOP THEIR ABILITIES TO THINK AND REASON... ....which poor buckwheat, with his idiotic statements about his OWN BELIEVES and VALUES, and saying other people SHOULD HAVE THE SAME ONES, was attempting to do. Guest guest
Hi all, I was really thinking about replying to Docs' post at length before he wrote this follow up. Here Doc pretty much sums up what I was going to say pretty quickly. So I will give the short version. DR. John M. La Tourrette Hmmm, should sheeple making be written sheeple-making? That term gives me some strange pictures. Notice he never said that we should have no values. He never said there is no such thing as action that will get a strong negative response from the universe and is therefore definable as " evil " or " wrong " . All this under a larger view that encourages us each to search our own 4 powers for what we know in our own lives and our own situations as leading to the outcomes that we desire in a positive long term fashion or not. What does that mean to me? We, each of us, are our own moral compasses for the situation dependent thing known as morality for ourselves. And when a person chooses to stop searching their own feelings, thoughts and actions for this 'knowledge of good and evil' one has become a robot following a set of commands another has issued then they have ceased to be alive. This sort of moral suicide is probably the greatest 'evil' one can attempt to perpetrate on another as my heart and mind see it. Now maybe no one else in the universe agrees with me and by my own rules I am quite ok with that. My personal belief that comes from my heart and mind that I find when I search inward at level is that the first step to my being at cause is to accept and allow (my meaning of accept is Doc's meaning of allow I have found by discussion with him so I used both here) others to be at cause for their own lives also. Now maybe others had different first steps or disagree. I am quite ok with that too. I'm not ok with anyone holding a firearm (either figurative or literal) to my head and demanding me to change my belief on this issue. Rational discussion in which they politely present their viewpoint and reasoning is welcome. For those that wonder what specifically is " politely " I defined it with the firearm comment. Enjoy, Walter
