Guest guest
I just got my Inner Demon Destroyer DVD's and the Energy Disk DVD on Monday. I'm amazed at how many things are " hidden " in those videos. First of all, look at the way Doc made products out of things that he does and uses all the time. It's interesting, because my mom has this thing she makes that EVERYBODY who gets one just loves. She and I were supposed to do a video on how to make those over Thanksgiving. She didn't bring the patterns. Then when we went to the store to get the stuff, she tried to change the product to something else she's never done before that we don't know if anyone would actually like or not. I know I didn't like it. I felt deep down inside that it was a waste of time and that she was trying to sabatoge the project because of whatever reasons. Kool. So I just enjoyed the rest of the time I had with her and my dad over the holiday. Then I saw the videos from Doc, and he's talking about a really fine person who won't change the way they think about money. It immediately made sense to me. Quit trying to change other people. Do what's important to me. So I sat down and wrote out a list of goals to work on. Today I took action on them. It's real amazing watching those DVD's and the differences between people on the DVD's who have trouble getting money and Jack, who thinks money is no big thing, and if he wanted $10 grand, he'd just go get it. And fast, too. Thanks for all the awesome things you teach us, Doc! I'm sure glad I ordered those DVD's! They're pure gold! Guest guest
Jim, This is something I learned the hard way... > Quit trying to change other people. Do what's important to me. Had I learned that early on, I would have avoided a lot of wasted time and energy, and not thrown away the emotional currency that I expended. Knowing that my job is NOT to change others, but to do what's important to me has been a pivotal lesson in my life. This anecdote that you've shared is really excellent at demonstrating the point. Had you gotten upset or pushy, the rest of the time with your parents would have been ruined. And you wouldn't have gotten the changes anyway.
