When my wife wants me to carry out the garbage, I also feel sleepy and lazy. When my wife wants me to chop wood and fill up the woodbox, I also feel sleepy and lazy. In fact, when I approach any task that I don't want to do, I feel sleepy and lazy. On the other hand, when I approach any task that I want to do and enjoy doing, I they feel energetic, lively and active. Strange how that works, isn't it? Being forced to do what you don't want to do turns on the Triple Warmer, the flight or fight meridian. Doing what you enjoy doing turns on the Joy Circuits, the 8 energy flows that energize you and are the " happy circuits " . Anyway, one cognitive method that works for many people is to look at how they feel AFTER they have finished the unwanted task, and are NOW DOING a task that they enjoy. That picture, that reward will draw them forward to task completion quickly and easily. John M.
