Guest guest
Hey, Doc, the ad exercise has been kind of frustrating to me. I mean, other than the size (due to the font), it's basically the same ad, but you've changed some things and added some things in the final one that made it a better ad. But what I don't get is, like, when I first started to look at the ad, I compared it to your other martial arts ads on a small chunk to small chunk comparison. Sort of like doing the three coins drill. But I notice something interesting about you. And this is not just in the ads. You got higher chunk things that you sneak in there while everyone is looking at the details. And I also know that sometimes in person you will say things on a small chunk level that are a complete mismatch, but you do it on purpose to ellicit a HIGHER chunk state or criteria or value. I've spent HOURS doing language pattern drills -- written and out loud. I'm pretty damn good at them when I want to use them, along with presuppositions, embedded commands, ambiguities, etc. How the hell do I do what you do when you install a HIGHER criteria or value or emotion (ie, meta state) so that even if someone " disagrees " with the small chunk, they still go on their way thinking what it is I just installed in them, even though they think they disagree with me? I know Kxxxxxx says install meta states by saying " and on top of that, add a sprinkling of state x or y. " Or something similar to that. And I know that with some of his stories, Kxxxxxx is running a smoke screen to INSTALL other things -- for instance, his story about when he was a kid and he got the tractor stuck, and his grandpa got all upset because " litle ricky " could have been killed, and then he takes people through that emotional SAP, and then installs the idea that he must be something important or special and there for a purpose because he didn't die that day on the tractor. Well, what the fuck? EVERYONE is here for an important and special purpose, so fuck him and his covert installation. So if your installations are more covert and better than Kxxxxxx's, where the hell did you learn to do that? AND HOW DO I DO IT? You are elliciting higher criteria all throughout your 3 ads, even though you are giving chunks, and, yeah, I know you are not giving as many small chunks as you do in your 6-8 page ads that have 1-2 pages or more of bullet points, but you are working with higher level criteria and values. And doing it without saying, " and now think about what's important to you about X, " You are either going for a specific type of value, AND/or you are INSTALLING values while you tell your stories. I guess I came close to that in my dream invader class, final lesson, where I told isomorphic stories about people who I asked for help in dreams and how those in the non-local universe expect us to do our part instead of looking for handouts. But how do I do what you do? And on purpose? Thanks, Jim
Guest guest
Yes, please Doc this is something you do better than most and one of the things I have been wanting to become more consistant and effective with------I am told I am good at this by some ( while LOT of people thought I had ADD when I was first playing with these "irrelivant" stories I've been considering investing more time and $ into this because apparently, it is one of the things I do "OK" and yet I want to be EXCELLENT at this. So share some tips or point us in the right direction. I have been considering a 55 book I can get used for 16 that is "supposed" to be great at teaching this, yet I've read review that it is tortuous reading----the last time I read reviews like that and couldn't find the book in the stores and ordered it anyway and I started to read it, felt a bit sick------then I energy tested it and felt sicker because they had taken something I LOVE and made it feel like "math" to me, which was NOT my best subject in school and so I tend to take very "tiny bites" out of that book every so often and once in a while I Photoread it again before my stomach drops... Also, to learn this skill it still should be heard-----a 2 DVD set from R ? so I've been re-listening to some older stuff from him----the one he USED TO teach with those OTHER Letters and I'm already losing count of his "loopiness" although I got quite a bit of them and was laughing quite a bit, too. And I realize, I use some of what I learned there ALL the TIME so that might be the way to go. And in the meantime I am "constructing" some more of my own and Recording them and now to listen/critique and test them ( also to help me memorize them better because I tend to FLOW more than consciously? follow "circuits" and now I am using my live "constructions" with more clients BEFORE and during the sessions.
