Fu Dogs

I was in Chinatown LA tonight for dinner with some friends. We were

walking around this new gallery area (with lots of bad art) when I

got a call from my sister in NY.

 

She had been taking care of my mom - who died a few months ago. She

and mom were very close.

 

She's moving out to LA -- but has to sell the family house and go

through all the family stuff - which is overwhelming her.

 

She's been doing some of the energy medicine from the Donna Eden

Intro DVD I sent her - which is helping.

 

Anyway, I went out into the square, by myself, to talk to her. I

felt a pull toward this one area.

 

In this darkened shop, in the shadows of the shop window, are these

two amazing carved Fu Dogs. Huge - human size.

 

These Fu Dogs seem to hold enormous power -- like a dense charge.

They aren't the curly Fu Dogs -- more Sphinx-like. Seem to be carved

alabaster -- with geometric carvings in the base.

 

These Fu Dogs were talkin' to me.

 

Which is weird, because my mom always wanted Fu Dogs for the garden.

(She called them 'Lions' back then. But with a southern accent - I

always thought she was taking about " Lines " for the garden. I never

liked most Fu Dogs - too elaborate)

 

I really really want these Fu Lions to live at my house.....

 

Does anyone know if Fu Dogs have any special powers - other than

guarding palaces? These aren't your normal Fu Dogs.
