Well, You are not here, but I do have things that work real well for those that do the damn drills. Do at night just before retiring. 1. Start out with the head and neck rolls. 2. Do the Crown Pull. 3. Do the Darth Vader breath. 4. Write out, on paper, all the things you need to do tomorrow. Put them in sequencial order according to important, and " what can be done now " . 5. Do " Bringing Down the Flame " ... Now go to bed. While in bed... 1. Review the day, starting with the last thing, and evaluate it, accept it. Decide what you can do that is better. Then run backwards down the list. Should take about 3 minutes. 2. Now put your right hand on your second chakra, and your left hand on the lower neck/upper chest area...just relax and breath for about 1- 2 minutes. 3. Now do a Theta Centering drill. Time, 20 seconds, if you are slow. This is IMPORTANT. Theta is NOT a cool place to be " if " you've a bunch of undone " crap " in your subconscious mind. It will just float to the " top " and do weird things to your body. What the first few steps were for were to unwind the subconscious clutter. While at theta... 1. Relax the body, using the Total Body Scan, from TOP to BOTTOM. 2. Then erase the body MENTALLY from bottom to top. Leaving in you imagination, the 8 different pulsating energy fields. 3. Now relax your MIND, using PREVIOUSLY ANCHORED SITUATIONS OF mental relaxation. Very easy to do. 4. Then go on to using your attention to RELAXING EVEN MORE, and falling asleep. 5. There is a drill used to SUBDUE THE UNCONSCIOUS MIND with bordom, but I'll not go over this yet. 6. Now, set your mental alarm clock, and if that makes you nervous because of LACK OF CONFIDENCE...set a real alarm clock. 7. and this is where I CONSCIOUSLY arrange my NIGHT CLASS to learn new and better drills that are good for me and for my clients. Other things to do that help... 1. Eat 1/2 a banana just before retiring 2. Take 3mgs of melatonin just before retiring 3. Take 500 mgs of trypothan just before retiring. The ONLY one that I do is the melatonin, and I take 1 1/2 mgs, NOT 3 mgs. The reason is, the pineal gland can be helped with small amounts of melatonin... Now, if anyone knows what the esoteric, and practical Higher Sense Perception meanings are...??? Things that you should NOT do... 1. Eat a big meal 3 hours before bedtime. What to do instead. If you go to bed at 10, then eat at 6. No snacks. But green tea does work. And, for me, coffee does just as well. No cream, no sugar. 2. Worry about NOT sleeping. Focus on what you WANT instead of what you don't want. What to do instead. Sometimes I wake up with a brillant thought. When that happens I get up, mind map the damn brillant thought, then go back to bed. Brillant thoughts are like " needing to go to the toilet " . Get it done! Otherwise it will continue to pester you the rest of the time you are laying there. 3. Do NOT take medications! What to do instead. See above. have fun. , The huggy feely guy that can drop off to sleep in 10 seconds and wake up, wide awake, feeling fine, feeling better than before...refreshed, energized, mind and body working great! I've listend to the first CD, and Bill talks about these Zen Masters who would tell you " Spirituality?! Oh no, come on, you must be mistaken, we don't do that here, go away. What? What are these people doing here in Zazen? I didn't know it was called that... Just a bunch of crazy people I give food and lodging to... Nothing to worry about, move away " And after much patience the would-be Zen practitioner might be accepted. Your kahuna secrets of falling asleep are what I have been waiting for for some 2 months... your upgraded version of the " retrospection drill " , is it not? But some 2 months ago you said " In 5 days I'll give it to this list " . Another way of hiding gold nuggets in the archives. Another way of testing the reader's dedication to learning X,Y,Z Another way of adding value to the info. Another way of... doing something that elludes me... but it's definitely about towards strategies... and having somenone place something on their timeline and not really calling it a day till they get it...and when they go at it they go at it FULLBLAST instead of lukewarmely... or is it associated instead of dissociated?
