I've been watching this thread since you started it, and I've yet to understand " what you want " from any breathing method. Can you help me out there? Maybe a simple Clarity Model to focus your mind on what you expect to get, then I can help. So far I've seen... 1. The Microcosmic Orbit, as done in a few styles of Chi Kung...Unfortunatly there are 4 different uses of Chi Kung, and the use you want it for was never given. The 4 methods are not inter- exchangeable. 2. then the suggestion to " Experiment, and go with your feelings " ... If you are just attempting to hook up the Central and Governing Meridians (which are also vessels of Chi for the other 12 Meridians), then none of the above suggested methods work for that purpose. At least they don't work that way. The normal energy flow of the Governing vessel (which is also classified as a Meridian, AND as a Radiant Circuit),is up the spine, over the head, down through the nose, into the mouth on the upper palate... The normal energy flow of the Central vessel (which is also classified as a Meridian, AND as a Radiant Circuit) is starting below the testicals, running up the front center of the body, over the bottom lip, and connecting up with the Governing Meridian in the back of the mouth, in a swirling energy field. Most people that are blocked on this connecting flow are blocked in their heads! Since we Americans think so much, the energy from the Governing Vessel tends to collect in the head, and to NOT connect with the Central Vessel they way it is meant to in the back of the mouth. A simple way to connect those two very powerful vessels is by doing two things... Thing #1. Place your middle finger of the right hand deeply into the belly button and pull slightly upwards. This pull slightly upwards will be like jumpstarting That Central Meridian in it's upwards direction. As you do that, also place the middle finger of the left hand on the GB 1 (the Third Eye), that is right between the eyebrows, and push in and pull upwards. Simple Thing #2. When doing the above drill, breath in through the nose...pause...breath out through the open mouth...pause...breath in through the nose...pause...breath out through the open mouth...pause,... ....and continue with the combined PHYSICAL ENERGY HOOK-UP as you do the breathing. It might take one or two minutes to hook up. One of the signs of hooking up is that you'll take an accidental REALLY BIG breath, and then sort of " sigh " , and relax. Okay. So what do you get when you do the above drills? Good question. This simple rountine connects Central and Governing Meridians, increases coordination, and stabilized the entire energy system (there are 8 of them!). It also strengthens the aura, putting you into a protective energetic cocoon. Because of the neurological power (also the hypnosis channels) of connecting Central and Governing Meridians, the Hook-Up can help you think more clearly. We have heard several reports from other energy trainers of having this drill literally stopping a seizure when applied the moment early signs of the seizure were detected. Any way. Let me know what you are after, using the Clarity Model, so that I can help you learn the PROPER BREATHING method for the purpose you desire. mentaltrainingsecrets.com

The concept of "Release", into the Yin seems to be directing energy flow down the back of the spine but it is really OPENING to the chi in that direction. Where you release [open] you create a vaccuum that chi can enter. So as you release all "weight and holding" down the back like flushing a toilet it opens for the chi flow up the spine and over the top. Now, if you Yi the magnetism from that chi at the palate you may feel the pull lifting your hands like clouds as the Yang floats up the front to meet the chi. At that connection you release continuously and the chi will pack in until it enters your blood and bone. This is the technique many Masters use when "Holding tree" effortlessly for hours on end. This same release concept applies to grounding. Release down to mother earth through your insteps and the earth energies come up and into your center.
