Guest guest
Every once in awhile some well meaning soul will send us a money order, or a personal check with a registered letter. Then they get mad at me because I REFUSE to go to the goddamned post office to stand in that line with the retards! I also REFUSE to send an employee that I'm paying $25 bucks a hour to, to go and wait in that same goddamn line for an hour! And it seems like EVERY MONTH there's at least one or two people that do that. And I do feel sorry for them. But, in ALL CASES, I tell people to... email a visa, mc, or discovery card...and we'll get the product out immediately! ....or, to use paypal...and we'll get the product out immediately! ....or to fax the info to us on a 24 hour dedicated fax line...and we'll get the product out immediately! ....or to use the normal mail, and hope it gets to us within 10 days or so. Then we have to deposite the check and wait ANOTHER 14 DAYS to make sure it doesn't bounce... blab, blab, blab. If you want me to go into a real rant, get me talking about the incompetance of the US postal service! Packages lost! Packages returned to us WHEN THE CORRECT ADDRESS WAS ON THEM! Packages stole by well meaning postal employees! And when we sent them out of the US, about 1/2 the packages were " lost " by the customs people. So we went to UPS, and we've had almost NO problems since they've became our postal system. Have you noticed that every month or so US postal employees are fired because they been caught stealing money at the stamp desk? Dr John M. La Tourrette I will NOT wait in line in a restaurant, at a movie theator, nor a post office! So, what do I do instead? I go to the restaurant on off hours. I go to the movie early, pick up our tickets. The wife and boy go shopping and I read/study an interesting box until movie time. We use the UPS system instead and they come by at 3:30 every day and pack up. Isn't decision making great! What is this post about group? I would add traffic to the list, Maybe in a small town, its not a big deal..But in big cities, I always try to steer clear of the peak rush traffic times. Guest guest
OK, so another part must be that you are using your dissatifaction with USPS as an " away from " driver. The service you were getting from them is what you don't want. So what do you want instead? Better service. This is what you want your away from to drive you towards. So you changed what you were doing and used UPS instead. Now you have a satisfactory outcome that you got by using PROactivity instead of REactivity. Am I on the right track? Thanks! Guest guest
Reluctance to waste time. Determination to get service from service organizations Refusal to use your time to be a part of another organization's marketing. Unwillingness to suffer fool's gladly. - Joe Wadsworth , lwinmorgan <lwinmorgan@s...> wrote:>> I will NOT wait in line in a restaurant, at a movie theator, nor a > post office!> ~snip~ > What is this post about group?> -> agoraphobia?> rusty You should get out your trusty Webster's before posting.Agoraphobia means, "a morbid fear of being in public or open s places. That word does NOT fit the context. So, which WORDS do fit the above context?
