Guest guest
I put a castor oil pack on my Yorki's belly where the tumour is two days ago....Today it is twice as big, but appears to have a different consistency. I don't know how else to say it...It seems like it might me more fuild filled rather than solid. The stupid Vet didn't call to tell me the pathology results, and has not been returning my phone calls. I was shocked when I saw the tumour on that little dog of mine. I replaced the pack with a fresh one...I am not sure if what I am doing is good or bad. I am so upset by its size. She seems to be in good spirits and is eating and playing, even with that thing on her. I don't know what to do now... Paulina

You can re-use the same pack for a week, unless it gets really contaminated.

Thank you Doc: I feel less helpless and so grateful for your advice. The stupid Vet still hasn't returned my phone calls about the results of the pathology report. Funny, they don't mind charging $600 for the tests, yet you can't get anyone to call you back with the results....grrrrr Sincerely, Paulina

It's kinda difficult to put a price on a loved one, even if that loved one is a four legged one. Thanks again, Paulina

Those vets charge as much for a pet that the medical profession charge for a human. I'm pretty damn sure that my wife's horse cost us over $7,000 bucks in vet bills when she got hepatitus several years back. AND...my wife was happy we saved it.
