Guest guest
I was looking for a different string for the ruby ball we received on Friday since it tends to unravel and come untied. A woman at a local yarn shop suggested using fishing line. The right diameter fishing line might work very well. Jack, are you reading this? You might already have fishing line available to test. Guest guest
Doc had a rubber band on his ball so it would bounce around. Remember? HAHAHAA Sorry, I couldn't resist :-) Speaking of bouncing around (HAHAHAA), if you're still looking for a mini-trampoline, sometimes you can get them for about $20 bucks at WalMart, but the ones with springs that they sell at sporting good stores like Dick's works better. It sure was nice meeting you at the seminar! Hope to see you again soon! I think Cinta discovered that a rubber band works well for that technique. --Vince http://huna-ohana.com
Guest guest
Jim, Now that you mention it, I do remember the rubber band. I can hardly wait for the DVD set to arrive so I can start going over it again. There was SO MUCH that many, many reviews will barely scratch the surface. It was nice to meet you, too. Guest guest
While a rubber band may work well, getting it in a position to be used looks VERY challenging. I wound up using carpet thread. It is heavier than regular thread and I already had some available. If it breaks, I have a whole spool to replace it. Mary - Rev. Guest guest
I put the carpet thread double and tried spinning the disk. It works GREAT. It spins so easily and it is easy to reverse direction. I just poke it through with a pin. Now, I didn't get that part from Cinta. I thought it up all by myself.

Guest guest
I thought of that and did not really like that idea. Pin holes would make the rubber band weaker. Plus I had remembered that I had the carpet thread.
