Guest guest
Hi Group, the following was emailed me, by someone I don't know, don't remember any posts from. So, in your informed opinion, people on this group, how would YOU answer him? Or would you even bother answering him? If so, why? If not, why not? My answer is at the bottom. Now, " why did I answer him like that? Presuppose it's NOT because I'm an unfeeling ass. . -------------------------- >michaelhelpme wrote: >Dear Mr. LaTourette. >I have a " little " , but (for me) very important request. >Some of my earlier emails remained unanswered. All the answers to your questions are already answered on both my groups. You dig for information you need. I dig for information I need. That's the Law of Living at Cause. So, group, what is meant by living at cause?
Guest guest
DO you mean that if you want something, YOU should do the searching and digging? Instead of "waiting for", we should be "going toward"? If you want something bad enough, then you will go looking for it and do everything in your power to get it? It's basically what it sounds like, being at cause, right? Amir C. Mail Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments.
Guest guest
>how would YOU answer him if you decided to answer him? >Or would you even bother answering him? I'd say if he showed the courage to take responsibility for what he wrote here in group and apologised for trying to steal my time by something he should have already known being useless.... I'd answer him. People learn. So if he learns... - that there's no use in bitching about life circumstances or trying to get others to help you because of your life conditions. Take responsibility for EVERYTHING, live at cause, or leave it. - to ask questions in another form than a whole novel - to write my name correctly I'd answer him the following points that are NOT answered on his groups when he is able to ask them in a way that doesn't take half an hour to read. - WHAT WILL THE FEE for the 2 day workshop at the huna seminar in july APPROXIMATELY BE? (Because there might be people who may want to benefit from the Early Bird Registration Discount but don't know if they can afford it if the price for the workshop suddenly doubles the whole costs.) - WILL THERE BE possibilties for ONE-ON-ONES? And I'd explain him IF HE QUALIFIES for: " I will be certifying a select group of people to teach " my " method in June. Let me know if interested! " because apparently, he IS interested. Although " select group of people " already sounds like very experienced people that already visited some of my seminars. But maybe he wrote that just to make sure. Then I'll watch if he is so ashamed of what he wrote and having been exposed that he has to come back with another name or if he just learned his lesson and knows how to manage negative feelings like shame

But as you probably noticed, I often give more help than maybe I should. The reason you answered him the way you did is the same reason you like people who 'get shit done'. I mean, let's suppose that you gave in to this guy's request and gave him the IDD DVDs at a reduced price because he 'can't afford them'. You've basically just reinforced in his mind that the way to solve his financial lack is to depend on others for handouts. Not good, because if we all do that, pretty soon there's no-one to hand out the handouts. Whereas instead, you told him 'sorry'. So if he really wants them bad enough, he'll find a way to make those extra dollars and pay you. And that reinforces in his mind that the way to solve his financial lack is to take action and get shit done. Kind of like that guy who owns www.milliondollarhomepage.com. And you, being a good trainer, know that the best students are eager and hungry to take positive action to solve their problems. The cost of your seminars and all the rest of it are just the hurdles to make sure that only positive, self-reliant, action-orientated people are in the room. Because that means everyone benefits the best. Being at cause means that if you want it done, you go and do it. Not always easy but a lot healthier than the alternative.
