Hope you are enjoying your trip. Sincerely, ps. I really do enjoy driving and can do it 18-24 hours before needing s stop. The kinesthetic feel, coupled with visual awareness is good for me. Guest guest
Yup - driving is great for the visual brain. I noticed that I get spaced out because I tend to 'throw' my aura or attention way out in front of me --- (my way of sensing what's ahead.) I noticed I was spacing-out because of the gap. So, I pulled back my aura by crossing one of my arms over my chest. (two arms would be better -- but then I'd have to steer with my knee Another good trick is circle eights with your hips - keeps the butt fatigue/ hip-flexor freeze at bay.... Hand at the back of the head is good too. (aren't the visual-points back there? I think I read that in a Brain Gym book... ) Helen > > ps. Guest guest
Helen, I got SO sleepy when I drove back from Medford to Alameda, CA. I kept counting from 1 to 5 loudly over and over figuring it might be a driving trance. It was worse driving in daylight with the sun up than when I drove to Medford mostly in the dark. What you say below sounds like it can be useful in June when I drive back. Thanks.
