Its MUCH easier to analyse in this state! Good for you. I love someone that actually does the drills to get the skills. So, Here's another easy and totally effective tool you can use at once, with virtually no practice. Stress causes the blood flow from the prefrontal lobes to leave, so that you go into fight, flight, or freeze. Up to 80% of the blood leaves our forebrain, stress chemicals pour into our bloodstream, primitive stress response emotions sweep over us, and we proceed to play chess with the biochemistry of an early neanderthal in mortal danger. Our more recently developed cognitive abilities are annihilated. Our perceptions become distorted. Our capacity to respond creatively is in meltdown. None of which is productive for cognitive thinking, which is required for Chess. To get the blood flow back, and to get your full thinking skills back, just lean forward at the table... ....and put your left hand to your forehead, with the left elbow on the table. (This is presupposing that you are right handed and move the pieces with your right hand). This hold is a gental touch. On the forehead there are frontal eminences, which are neurovasculars. When these neurovasculars are touched, the blood flow comes back into the brain. The blood returns to your forebrain, you will feel yourself lifting out of stress. This might take a minute or two, so train your body to be stress- free from the get-go. Here's some more good news. Holding your neurovascular points also provides a cranial adjustment, so symptomms such as chronic headaches, neck pain, or jaw tension may spontaneously diminish. > Amusingly, this calmness sometimes rubs off on the opponents, and > THEY start playing better too... Yes. Your own physical energies do affect others up to about 30 feet. This is through the Radiant Circuits, and through the Triple Warmer. If you want to be dastardly about this and give them energies that affect them negatively, in a secret covert manner, let me know. I love to play with people. > Another side effect; I'm enjoying playing again instead of thinking > of matches as gruelling exams I want to pass and I'm even looking > forward to my next games... Good for you. Like I said earlier, " I love people that actually do the drills to get the skills " .
