And read his materials from the premise, " if Slater is right, how could I use these tactics to make my hypnosis even better? A couple of his titles are, " What is Hypnosis " and " This is Hypnosis " . There are a couple of others that he's written but I don't recall their titles right now. Amazon probably has them. Anyway, one of Salter's premises, which he does verify very well, through logic and through experimentation, is that all hypnosis is conditioning, the type of advanced conditioning that Pavlov ended up with. Conditioning so powerful that once conditioned the conditioned person would do ANYTHING that was conditioned into him. Salter's works were the basis for the " Manchurian Candidate " book during the 50's, and later on the movie.
Guest guest
Doc - When I sold rare books ages ago, a customer told me that there was a suppressed, first edition (1st ed, first state) of the Manchurian -- with a preface or intro with info naming a government org that did these experiments. Never saw it or heard of it again, so it could be a book collector's myth.
