Guest guest
First, I only praise what Donna does. I do not understand the accusation that I've dissed Donna by mentioning that she uses convincer strategies. All good trainers use convincer strategies. So I'll assume that you don't know what one is. Here's a brief explanation. A " convincer strategy " is a strategy that helps a client know that you know what you are doing. Most people have unconscious strategies that they use BEFORE they are motivated to do anything. And, since they are mostly unconscious, most people don't know they exist. I teach people to know what they think, feel and do, in the sequence that motivates THEM. Why is that important? Because they now have CONSCIOUS CHOICE in following that strategy, or in choosing a better, different strategy. Here's a few examples from energy medicine and energy psychology. A pre-energy test, compared with a post energy test lets the client know (versus hallucinate) that something positive is actually occuring in the energy fields because of the energy technologies they are using. For example, Donna uses energy testing. Then she demonstrates that certain flushings will either enhance the energy flows through the meridians, or will back flush the energies through the energies. Energy testing a SUDS before an Energy Psychology intervention, and after an Energy Psychology will let the client know and be more convinced that the process really worked. Then the installation of a new resource, done with a pre SUDS and a post SUDS will also help him know that he now has more resources and better resources for where he is going with his intervention. And on and on. A " convincer " strategy is a good thing, and a thing that more in the psychological, hypnosis and NLP fields should use. When you use " convincer " teaching strategies you are using Trainer Skills of teaching others in a manner where they can verifiy FOR THEMSELVES that what they are learning is REAL for them, and is practical and immediately beneficial for THEM. It's a tool for education. It is NOT a tool of manipulation, unless you call helping people get what they want in health and in their pursuit of happiness, negative. The term " convincer " strategy comes from the bio-data profiling system that was put out by Rodger Bailey in the early 80's. He was a student of Leslie Cameron Bandler. Here's the first part of that write up. " The last category of the IPU Profile is the category, Thinking Convincer. This category is used to determine how a person is CONVINCED and MOVED TO ACTION. The first question used to elicit this information is , " How do you know that someone else(a co-worker) does a good job? " The answer to this question indicates how a person best takes in the information to be convinced. " (Pg. 42). If someone is offended by my explanations of Donna's great teaching techniques, then THEY ARE AT FAULT with their paranoia. If that person has a problem with me, then they ethically should talk with me, and not attempt to blacklist me with their lies and unfounded fears to either Donna or David. I am outspoken about what I do and say. I stay well within my own ethical boundaries. And, what post specifically are they refering to? Have you read it? If you did you would then know that I am in tremendous awe and respect of anything the both of them do and teach. And, group, what are the convincer strategies I've used in this post?
