Hi Dawn,

Welcome to the group and feel free to join right in. The reason behind teas and tinctures as opposed to caps is the teas and tinctures work quicker. Caps have to dissolve and then the body needs to digest and break down the herbs. That is all. There is nothing wrong with taking caps.

[herbal remedies] newbie question

I just wanted to introduce myself and ask a quick question. My name isDawn and i'm currently taking a home study course in Herbalism. I'venoticed that most remedies are given in the form of "teas" or tincturesinstead of the easier and more convenient (IMO) capsules. I have neverseen any discussion or explanation as to why teas are more effectivecompared to capsules. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this group. I'll probably bepretty quiet most of the time due to a hectic schedule with work andkids, but I'll be lurking!______________Sign Up for Juno Platinum Internet Access TodayOnly $9.95 per month!Visit www.juno.comFederal Law requires that we warn you of the following: 1. Hi Dawn, teas and tinctures are usually more readily absorbed by the body. Sometimes capsules are indicated, depending on the herbs used and for what. Like if you didn't want the herbs to be absorbed until they reached the intestines, then a capsule would be better.

Dear Dawn,

The reason why teas and tinctures are king, is because the biochemicals of the herbs have already been extracted and are very assimilable. Powders in capsules can sometimes be next to impossible to absorb if a person's digestion is very poor or compromised.

Hello~

I am new to the group and very intrigued and

interested to learn how to

open up more communications and clarity for what I

have already. I have a

quick question about your letter and the energy

testing... can you do this

with me and what does it entail? I am curious to be

guided or told what you

or someone may be able to tell me about what I see,

hear and feel from the

spiritual word as well as hearing thoughts from

people or " knowing " what may

happen or sensing a spirit in a room, etc. and how I

can improve or clarify

it and use it to doing good for people. I will be

checking the message

board to find out more.

Thank you!

~blessings,

Pamela :)
