Guest guest
Mike, I have a question for you. How did you hear about Doc? Many of us got to know and trust him because of what we read and tried after reading these forums. Is this the path you took? My personal path was from the Creative Energy forum where Doc's expertise was plainly evident from the quality of his posting. He obviously knew what he was writing about and more. Since I believe the Martial Arts audience had a more limited interest in energy medicine and the quantum world, Doc's span of influence might be considerably smaller if he stayed retired in Oregon. Thankfully that's not his style. One of the advantages of his postings is that he has become a trusted source. And for some reason I don't yet truly understand this seems to play a very important role in much energy work. Doc, I'm not sure why you brought this up. From my point of view, and it is admittedly one of a neophyte, Michelle wasn't arguing and didn't sound insulted. Her points were hers as yours are yours. I hope you're not having second thoughts about your forums. You know I'm firmly in your corner. And yet if belonging had required a test of wealth, I'd still be in the dark. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Actually I first got exposed to Doc through one of his products. His big Kahuna skills program (which I still have and watch on VHS...I even bought a new VCR just for this purpose after my old one died). It’s funny because I had seen Doc’s sales copy before in Black Belt magazine and thought that it was too good to be true. Hit someone 11 times in a second? Yeah right! The marketing seemed too slick and the claims just seemed impossible. Plus I had read and heard people bad mouth Doc and I believed them (for no reason other than I heard their opinions first...pretty stupid, I know, but this was one of unconscious the filters I used to have to determine what is true, real, and possible) So when I saw the sales copy for Doc’s Kahuna program, at first I thought “Bullshit.” But I kept on thinking about it and I couldn’t seem to get the program out of my head. Everything that the sales copy promised was what I was really searching for in my life. And even though I really didn’t believe it (again I thought it was just hype to try and trick people into spending money), I kept on thinking “Damn it’d be so cool IF it were true though...” So against my “better judgment” at the time I plunked down the $1000 or so and bought the course. It turned out to be one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my life. I studied that course on my own for a few years then decided I wanted more from Doc and searched him out on the internet. That’s how I found the forums and I feel really grateful that Doc is still here, constantly posting and updating his work. (As well as all the other awesome contributors on here.) It’s funny now that I look back at the attitude I used to have regarding marketing and educational products. Before I was always afraid of being screwed. Afraid of buying some worthless product, wasting my money, and giving my money to a crook. Complete scarcity and fear mindset. Now I don’t really care about that anymore. Yeah I’ve been screwed a few times; wasted some money on crappy products. But that’s just the price of exploring new things. In the end, money I can always get. Good information that can change your life (like Doc’s) is priceless. And that’s what I really want the money for anyway: to change my life and grow in ways that are important to me as a person. -M On 3/2/08 6:36 PM, " bbtried " <bbtried wrote: Mike, I have a question for you.
