So my post, even though very respectful and precise did " push her buttons " . Guest guest
Doc and moderator, she did seem like a really nice person didn't she? I wonder what happened? Maybe she doesn't understand the Five Elements? It's a valid, sophistocated system that can be verified and has been around for a few thousand years, and I find nothing high schoolish about it. I'm not certain why she considers the elements an " excuse " . Donna, a Fire Element, seems to think the Five Elements are important enough to have integrated them into Energy Medicine. It's one of the primary energy systems that she teaches about. She even devoted an advanced class to them. She married a Metal element which both she and he regularly make jokes about and everyone in her classes gets a big kick out of it ;-) She said part of the reason she thinks they get along so well, being opposites and all, is because they understand their elements, and also each other's Sensory System Stress Types. She taught a class on the Sensory Stress Types during that Color's and Aura's Intensive a few years ago that was really good. They also have a DVD called " The Energies of Love " which covers this info in detail. Oh well... Guest guest
Hi Kristy, I'll answer both your posts. First, Donna Eden's book Energy Medicine is considered pretty much required reading for this group. There's loads of info in it, and you should give yourself a gift today, and go pick it up. Second, Wood/Earth are elements in the model of the five elements. This is also covered in Energy Medicine. Also, study the archives. There's a LOT of terrific stuff there. - Joe Wadsworth Kristy BLAIR <kristyblair2000 Sent: Monday, March 3, 2008 8:19:08 PMRe: It's about Doc feeling superior to all others & kissing his ass I don't know if you all know me, or if I even introduced myself as of yet. Guest guest
Oh My, hate to hear such derogatory statements from someone such as this person did. I'm new so I have no idea the thing going on here and just want to settle in and become comfortable if I may. Also, all right, I need some help with the 5 elements going on. I know nothing of this at all!!! Sorry, your all probably going, oh no, not again!!! I'm sorry, but I found it interesting and wanted to learn more and maybe could apply it to my own life since other things do not seem to help. Curious? Do you take meds for your conditions at all? Thanks. Guest guest
Hi Kristy, Welcome to this group. If you read the first post in this thread you're probably quite confused. Good for you for asking. You should read Donna Eden's book, Energy Medicine. " I got my copy from the library and then decided I needed my own. ;-} This will help you to understand much of what is being discussed. Actually you can go to Youtube and put " Donna Eden " in the search bar. As recently as a few days ago, many of her basic drills on videos were available there. By the way this isn't a substitute for reading the book, there's a lot more information than what is in the videos. It's also very important to start reading the archives or at least do an archive search when you have a question. Then you will be less likely to ask something that was gone over many times before. Then what I do, is " Google " any terms I still don't understand. If the list of links that comes up is too long, I add the phrase " Energy Medicine " or NLP to the search. Reading the archives or least a few months of back posts will give you an idea of the forum dynamic. There's something Doc calls propulsion systems, NLP term, that seems to factor into this. Even though it's a wonderful group, sometimes members become offended and leave because they don't take this dynamic into consideration. It's so sad because there really is so much to learn here for those willing to do the work. I hope you find this true too. Guest guest
Hi Kristy, Welcome to the group. For starters I would suggest begin reading the back posts starting from post number one, a sure way to quickly grasp the unique character of this great group ;-) and pick up unlimited gold nuggets along the way I'll also add to what several have already said, Start with Donna Eden's " Energy Medicine " book (required reading for this group), there's a whole section in there devoted to the Five Elements from her perspective. If after reading that you find you want to know even more, she has a set of videos called " The Five Rhythms " . Very fun to watch and learn from! " meds " ? Lori , " Kristy BLAIR " <kristyblair2000 wrote: > > Oh My, hate to hear such derogatory statements from someone such as this person did. Thanks.
