Sometimes when a thief knows that you will give them shit if they

steal, then they will stop stealing from you and steal from someone

else that doesn't stand up for what is important for them.

And, if you don't stand up for what you believe, no one else will.

IN FACT others will notice you are not stopping the thief and they

will probably become thieves also.

So, in fact, by taking direct harsh action you are really helping all

concerned; yourself, the thief and the bystanders. Right?

Dr. John my beliefs are not going to change the right> or wrong with this situation.

I recognize this is taken out of context, but I thought it deserved comment.

I have to respectfully disagree with this statement. Your beliefs are exactly what lead you to perceptions of 'right' and 'wrong'...

To assume there is one true 'right or wrong with this situation' (or any situation for that matter) is to confuse the map with the territory.

The map is not the territory!

Millions of people died in the holocaust, the crusades, and the inquisition, all because one group of people thought they had the 1 true map of reality.

The map is not the territory! The map (our beliefs) is just a useful device to get you to your destination. If it doesn't work, get rid of it. If map B works better than map A, then scrap map A!

Since you were kind enough to share your map with us, I thought I would return the favor...;^)

keep smiling,

ben
