Guest guest
Hi Doc, I respect your amassed knowlege on this subject and others. My reply to your question would be to respect all forms of awareness and spiritual pursuits since for each individual effectiveness is the measure of truth. Guest guest
I completely agree. The moon, sun, weather shifts -- all affect my energies. The ancient Samuiri practice of Sieki jutsu is often given to another only when the weather elements are just right (see Ikuko Osumi, Japaness Master of Seiki Jutsu, by Bradford Keeney, Ph.D) Also, my experience validates Cayce's " will power " quote. I like to think of astrological predictions as energy potentials and probabilities -- windows or options to " choose " . Personally, I find astrology fun but life is way too complex (and fun!) to take it too seriously. In the words of Dr. Stephen Covey, " the only way to predict your future is to create it. " With your mental screen first, and your will power next. And throw in a little of serendipity for the fun of it. :)Troy healingenergies- essentialskills , " docspeed2001 " <docspeed2001 wrote: > > Because of another thread on a different forum, I am asking this > question. > > And I am aware of the moon and the sun affecting the bodies energy > fields. > > That is NOT astrology. Doc did ask for some type of verification process about ass-tro-logy and you told him " to respect all forms of awareness " . What type of answer is that but a put-down on doc and on any type of proof or verification being necessary. For example: Today my cat shat on the floor. So I checked the stars and that means we are going to have a massive earthquate in Texas. Right? The butterfly flaps it's wings in africa and we are going to have a typhoon in Kansas? That's too high level for me. Sandy
Guest guest
There is a saying in the South (at least that's where I heard it) " don't get so open-minded that your brain falls out! " Having said that, I have seen no proof that astrology is completely non-valid. I have also seen no proof that it is valid. On the other hand, I have seen verifiable results from Energy Medicine, NLP, Hypnosis, Meditation, etc. They have a detectable effect in me. They have been well researched with consistent, measurable results. I prefer to spend my time on the " forms of awareness and spiritual pursuits " that have verified, measurable results. There is, however, a such thing as the placebo effect. In studies it has been found to be as effective as morphine in %47 of patients. I think many, if not all, healing modalities (valid and non-valid) benefit from the placebo effect. Now granted, healing is healing, and I'll happily take the placebo effect, but it's nice to know when there is something more going on. keep smiling, ben On 3/27/08, sandygodheart <sandygodheart wrote: , " Clarke Bassett " <clarke.bassett wrote: >> Hi Doc,> > I respect your amassed knowlege on this subject and others. Guest guest
For the sceptics about Astrology, eplain this... Heres how I healed four medical folks of their doubts... I am an amatuer astrologer. One day I was chatting with two allopathic MDs and two nurses about Energy Healing. Our talk turned to astrology. They all agreed that it is fun, but not to be taken seriously. Sooo, I proceeded to tell both Doctors their sun signs, a scorpio, and a virgo. I told one nurse correctly, thst she was a taurus. The other nurse, I identified as a capricorn. She turned out to be a virgo, with,,, you got it,,, a capricorn ascendant. This proves astrology well enough for me.) Mike:o), Ananda Farms, Dallas,TX.
